Mission: Japan Tobacco International had to develop a solution for the issues regarding smoking in public spaces and its littering, the focus was for Milano city and its surroundings. The goal was to deliver a physical urban ashtray that could work as a new object not only as a cigarette butt deposit, but a products that could also adapt to its surroundings and the cycle of life for the cigarette butts. Added to that we also design a series of graphic installations to make people aware of the littering of cigarette waste.
We worked along with JTI and a real problem that allowed us to travel to Milano city to interview citizens and observe its surroundings, documenting the process and its solutions to bring in new behaviors to the full cycle of cigarette waste.
